Mi Mecca Week 29 ends. I lost another pound. It could have been more, but I had my worst week in a long time.... only 11 burritos. Shame...Another worst: I only worked out twice. I usually do more than that. Shame. Good news: My body fat percentage is at an all-time low. 28.8% You might be saying: "but Eric, doesn't that still make you a fat ass?" Short answer is "yes." But I started at 43.8% body fat, so it's a huge improvement. Check out my progress. |

Corn by Accident? Right.... Week 28 ends. I lost another 3 pounds. ....totally awesome....I enjoyed 13 burritos this week. One time, she accidentally put corn on my burrito, but I ate it anyway. Didn't seem to hurt me. I completed my first week without cheese. That's right. No cheese for me. Now that I've lost over 70 pounds, I just don't need as many calories as I used to. So I had to choose an item to cut out. Cheese drew the short straw. Check out my progress. |

Dance it out. Week 25 ends. I lost 66 pounds. "Oh no you didn't!" "Oh yes I did!" I had 13 burritos this week. I took the week off from exercise. The rest apparently did me some good. Seven pounds good. When I finally went back to the gym, I had huge strength gains. There must be something to this "recuperation" thing. Check out my progress. |

Home away from Home Week 23 ends. I'm not exactly sure of my weight. I'm in Houston, Texas this week, so I'm not able to get an official weigh-in. I ate 13 burritos this week. #1 Store in the Houston Market I've been driving to the Chipotle in Pasadena, Texas for lunch and dinner. I am really getting an idea of how using local farming sources affect the flavor. It is an enjoyable change to notice the subtle flavor difference in the Texas burritos. Same recipe. |

Look to the sky, and see Heaven. Week 22 Ends. I lost another pound this week! In the past 3 weeks I have lost 7 pounds, and according to my body fat scale, it has all been fat. Oh yeah!I only had 12 burritos this week. I ate a meal at a funeral reception. I tried to recreate (as best I could) a burrito bol with what food was available. I think I did OK for the most part. But, in the end, the stress of losing a very good friend worked against my weight loss. I went to the ice rink last night and got very excited about playing hockey again. For the first time in a long time, I think I'm almost ready to play (weight and fitness wise). Check out my progress. |

Before and During Week 21 Ends. I lost another 3 pounds. I only had 11 burritos this week, and somehow I still lost a good amount. I exercised 3 times this week, which is normal for me. I'm going out today to buy a new belt. I punched 3 holes in my old one, and now it just looks ridiculous with all that extra leather flapping around. Check out my progress. |

The diet is definitely low carb, but I don't think that fully explains why it works so effectively. All the food I eat is whole, natural, fresh food. Nothing from a wrapper, package, box, jar, or can. All prepared fresh, and highly nutritious. I think my body starves for nutrients, and continues to ask food food until it gets what it wants. When I eat burgers and fries, I don't get nutrients, and therefore my body is asking for food again in 2 hours. What it is really asking for is nutrients, not calories. I didn't figure this out on my own, but rather had it explained to me in bits and pieces over several different books. A fewof these books nailed it down pretty solidly. Here they are: This books hits the nail on the head for me. The Primal Blueprint, by Mark Sisson. The diet and workout style match what I'm doing almost exactly. Buy the Book. The Chipotle Diet also covers 8 of the 9 rules laid-out by Jack Challem in his book called "Syndrome X". I won't outline the whole book here. If you are at this website, You should read this book! I guarantee it will help you.
If you have already read the book, let me know what you think of it.
